The new Float E2 system uses an Alpride E2 supercapacitor to store energy that powers the compressor upon deployment. Supercapacitors store and release energy based on magnetic energy rather than chemical reaction. This means their performance is much more reliable in cold temperatures. For the same reason, the energy stored in a supercapacitor releases faster when it’s activated for deployment.

While the supercapacitor makes it easier to travel internationally, the innovative Side Stash pocket and Back Stash zip make it easier to travel on snow without stopping to hydrate, swap hat/gloves/eyewear, or even skins—just rip ‘em, stash ‘em and go!

The full-fledged E2 Turbo airbag pack boasts the whole gamut of features including BCA's waterproof coated nylon, Side Stash pocket, Back Stash zip, shovel carry system, curved side access zip, compression straps, hip belt pocket, "cooling fin" backpanel ventilation, and dedicated safety tools pocket.
