24MX Rear Bike Wheels are the Wheel Deal

If you look along the starting gate of a motocross race, you won't see a single bike with mag wheels. What you will see, though, is that every motorcycle in the line-up features spoked wheels, and there's a good reason for this. Motocross and dirt biking in general, sees the rider traverse rough ground, berms, bumps and jumps. Spoked wheels have a degree of flex, so they can take more punishment than a mag wheel while still remain functioning. This fact doesn't mean spoked wheels are indestructible. So, when it's time to change your rear wheel, 24MX has a range of rear bike wheels that will outperform stock items in every way. Amongst the 24MX rear bike wheel line-up, you will find four variations. They cover motocross, enduro, supermoto and a premium option.

Motocross rear wheel

These wheels feature 19" rims, the standard size for most modern MX bikes. The replacements are stronger and more durable than stock items. Motocross rear bike wheels include four components, namely rim, spokes, nipples and hub, the material for each item is chosen for its exceptional properties. Hubs are CNC milled from 6082-T6 forged aluminium. This material enables the hub to withstand a lot more stress than the factory version. Spokes and nipples are high-grade stainless steel. This metal is strong and incredibly durable, with just enough flex to absorb bumps. As for the rims, the high-spec material theme continues with 7116 T6 aluminium. This material is a hard grade of aluminium, guaranteed to take the knocks. The components combine to create a lightweight, strong wheel that exceeds all factory standards.

Enduro wheel

These rear bike wheels offer the same exacting features and materials as the MX wheels but with an 18" rim size.

Supermoto wheel

Like the rest of the line-up, supermoto wheels use only the finest aluminium and stainless steel, but with one exception. As supermoto calls for bikes to lean at extreme angles, the rims are much wider, so they can take sticky race tyres.

Premium wheel

The 24MX premium range of rear bike wheels is available in 18" and 19" rim sizes. They are compatible with MX and enduro bikes. They feature the same grade of stainless steel for the spokes and nipples and the hubs are forged 6082-T6 aluminium. Where the premium rear wheels differ is in the rims. These premium rear bike wheels are 7050 T6 aerospace-quality aluminium. This material offers even higher levels of strength, stress, corrosion and crack resistance.

Personalised wheel

The 24MX rear bike wheel range differs in the specification. Yet, there is one common denominator, their ability for personalisation. The hubs on all models are available in a choice of six colours. These are red, green, blue, black, gold and silver. Due to the toughness of the aluminium rim, it is only possible to anodise wheels in black or silver. However, combined with a coloured hub, the result is a standout wheel. Use the drop-down make/model and year finder to personalise your wheel. You will then have access to rim and hub colour choices. These wheels are handmade to order and come complete with the bearing pre-mounted so that you can bolt them on straight away.

Finally, there is no need to have concerns relating to the fit. The 24MX range of personalised rear bike wheels are the exact dimensions as the stock items, so all brake components swap over. When you need tough, high-spec bike rear wheels, 24MX has the solution at the best prices.

Complete Wheels

Complete wheels have the advantage that they contain everything from rim to spokes and hubs. But luckily, those are not the only advantages of complete wheels. In this guide, we will focus on different reasons for choosing complete wheels, how to replace them and what is needed once the complete wheels are installed. Let’s start with the advantages of complete wheels.

Why use complete wheels?

There are several reasons why complete wheels have the preference over separate rims and spokes. Below, you’ll find the most important reasons why you should choose for complete wheels:

  • If you want an extra set of wheels for your studded tires.

  • If your OEM wheels got damaged after a crash.

  • If you want spare wheels for quickly changing the wheels during a race.

  • If you are looking for wheels that can take more beating.

What are complete wheels made of?

Most of the complete wheels are made of both aluminium and steel. The hub and wheels are made from aluminium, while the spokes are made from steel. Looking at the hub and wheels, the aluminium gives the advantages of being light and strong, plus, it does not rust!

The spokes are made of steel. This is an excellent strong material that lasts long and is 100% recyclable. Besides, the colour of steel does not change, which means it keeps the motorbike wheels in perfect and nice condition.

What is the size of complete wheels?

Generally, we can distinguish two different wheel sizes, either motocross wheels with a size of 21-19 or enduro wheels with a size of 21-18. When the new wheels are acquired, make sure that you check thee spokes of the wheels after breaking in.

Which brands supply complete wheels?

There are different brand that provide complete wheels. We have the three best and most popular suppliers of complete wheels sorted out below:

  • Twenty

  • Talon

  • Excel

Twenty gives you the best value for your money, while it has also proved itself by being used by many MXGP teams. Other suppliers that provide excellent wheels with great quality are Talon and Excel. Both suppliers have complete wheels for both the front and back of your bike.

Although Twenty also provides the option to have different design combinations, Talon gives you a wider variety to design your own wheels, where you can choose between different rims, hubs and spokes.
